MetalBeard is a prominent character first appearing in *The LEGO Movie* (2014). He is a fearsome, yet ultimately good-hearted, pirate whose body is almost entirely constructed from LEGO bricks.

Originally known as Metalbeard, he was once a regular LEGO pirate who resisted Lord Business's tyrannical plans to Kragle the LEGO world into perfect conformity. During his confrontation with Lord Business, he was dismembered, losing his original body. He rebuilt himself into a larger, more imposing figure, using his skills and salvaged LEGO pieces.

In *The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part*, MetalBeard continues his adventures, often undergoing further modifications to his LEGO body to suit the situation.
